What is it?

If you are looking for an activity for those days when the Roman weather is unforgiving – be it the rain or the instense summer heat I have something a little bit different that you and your family are going to love! It is a bit outside of the historic culture landmarks that you might expect from Rome but if you are looking for something to win over those tweens that have walked around each of your to see list and are looking for something fun, this is for you. A change of scene, you will realy impress

The colour hotel is 4.000mq of interactive play. I don’t mean sticky play mats, ‘no climbing on the netting’ signs and blue slush puppy mouths, I mean dreamworld, surreal enjoyment for everyone.

Upon entering into the 1.5 hour experience, you must firstly pass through the eerie ‘hotel reception’ saturated in deep red lighting. The effect of the lighting softens the outline of surfaces and walls. This is your taster of the curiosties to come.

Inside you will enter into the digital elevator with a surprising illusion of travelling up, up and away. The following rooms include an adult ball pool, roller disco, XXL game room and many more.

Building family memories!

Enjoying yourselves as a family, it is a really fun. Thought free light hearted un abashed fun

The first time I went, I had a good time but when I left I was slightly unsure about what was the point. The second time I had a realisation that answered my own question – The point is to just have fun. To experience the sensations. To live in your body and the experience really helps you to do this.

Play and being in the moment is not something we are very good at doing anymore in this fast paced and metric world. The colour hotel is a medicine in disguise.

How to get there?

For travelers based in Rome you can easily make a trip out of the city for an afternoon. The Color Hotel is just 20minutes from Ostiense Station (Metro B: Piramide). Taking a regional train to Parco Leonardo, outside of the station your destination is a couple of hundred meters ahead. It is literally door to door.

Much more to offer

The Color Hotel is inside the Wowside shopping center. You afternoon could easily turn into an evening well spent with bars serve great coffee and aperitivos. Upstairs in the food court, restaurants serve fresh fish, poke and pizza. And a variety of retail shops offering skincare, clothes and jewelry.

What to bring

Inside the Color Hotel you cannot wear shoes and you must wear anti-slip socks. You will need to wear anti-slip socks to enter. You can either bring your own or you can buy them there at around 3Euros a pair.

All your possessions will be kept in a secure pin activated locker so you feel free to get the most out of your time.

There are great facilities with toilets inside the area and even hairdryers – Not to take a shower but because they are standard in play/activity areas in ITaly. They are used to dry the sweaty brows of children to stop them getting colpa d’aria on their way home
